The high court ruled against labor and environmental organizations that have long fought expansion of Mexican trucking within the borders of the United States. The Supreme Court VOTES out America! 1. NAFTA, signed in 1993 by the United States, Mexico and Canada, allowed Mexican trucks to eventually use a large portion of U.S. roads. MEXICO plans to roll into U.S.: Already 34 Mexican carriers have been pre-approved to operate 157 trucks in the United States, the department says. Last year, 23 percent of U.S. trucks that were randomly inspected in the special zones were pulled off the road for safety and regulatory reasons, compared with 21 percent of the Mexican trucks inspected, the department says. |
