To: President Barrack Obama

 Mr. President;

At a time of record high unemployment, instability of Wall Street, an extremely weak housing market, a damaged mortgage industry, a crushed automobile purchase market, the collapse of major American automobile manufactures, major government programs are ailing and on the path to financial insolvency, it is unwise to pursue a National Health-Care agenda. Your plan will cost trillions to an already burdened nation.

 Government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid and a host of others are staggering under the weight of demand while being starved of tax dollars, barely afloat. Not only would a Government run National Health-Care program cost the American Citizen Trillions of dollars, but would also further burden our beloved nation to the point you would be forced to either raise taxes or slash program benefits, both of which will make you the most unpopular President in American history and no doubt a one term President.

 We The People believe the answer to health-care reform originates in the free enterprise system. We The People have bailed out America before and we can do it again, if the Government can get out of the way and let responsible capitalism run its course, I know we can fix anything. I have great faith in the American people and the free enterprise system.

 Conservative Senators in a recent letter put it this way: "Forcing free market plans to compete with these government-run programs would create an unlevel playing field and inevitably doom true competition."

President Obama, I respect the office you hold and I love my dear country, however, I believe the path of bureaucratic expansion through a forced National Heath-Care plan is reckless, dangerous to our freedom and places families and business in peril of financial insolvency.

A recent Lewin Group Study[1] clearly demonstrates if the National Health-Care plan in its present form would be signed into law the result would be over 119.1 million Americans losing their private coverage."

Furthermore, the recent Milliman Study
[2], estimates the result of cost-shifting from government payers, such as Medicare and Medicaid would costs American families who already have private insurance nearly $1800 more per year. How could suffering Citizens, already burdened by a collapsing job market, failure of countless banks, loss of retirement account because of recent Wall Street failures, be expected to shoulder this burden?

 Sir, please stop this madness, step back for a minute and realize the negative impact your National Health-Care Plan would have on our beloved nation especially during this time of crisis.

 Please, I implore you, give this National Health-Care issue to the free enterprise system and we will solve it.

 Sincerely,
